Just received an e-mail from readers who spotted Hyundai Elantra (Inokom Elantra) is arrived Hyundai headquarters.

Believe Hyundai (Inokom) Elantra MD will launch very soon, when you visit to Mid-Valley Megamall today, you will spotted Hyundai (Inokom) Elantra is show to public at Mid Valley Mega Mall, East Atrium.
Hyundai (Inokom) Elantra MD will at Mid-Valley from 22nd February until 26th February, there are five days let’s public view the coming soon Hyundai (Inokom) Elantra MD! Hoped they will launch the Hyundai (Inokom) Elantra MD latest by this 29th February.

After waiting and waiting for the Inokom Elantra (Hyundai Elantra) price, finally is revealed although this could not be the finalized price for the Inokom Elantra.
The price is as follow :
1.6 standard – RM93,888
1.6 high – RM98,888
1.8 – RM113,888
There will be have a soft launch for this 30th March 2012 and Inokom Elantra will launched on next month by 6th April 2012.

Good morning Mr Pissed, no confirmation/ affirmation on the pricing yet but the 1.8 will be the premium model with (tbc) auto seat, sunroof, nappa leather, built in entertainment system, dual aircond, and more.

Mazda CX-5 will enter malaysian market with a GDI engine, so why must we settle for a MPI engine from a Kimchi car?? At the same time, Ford uses Ecoboost engine which is also a GDI engine and the mondeo being sold in Msian market uses one. If the koreans are unwilling to commit to msian market a superior engine, I don’t see any reasons for buying one even if you give me a string of international awards.
Furthermore, I called up an agent 2 weeks ago and he told me the price for the 1.8 premium would be close to a outgoing 1.8 honda civic, which is about RM 110k or more. Now, why should I pay such “premium” prices for a kimchi car?? I find this totally absurd, given that resale would certainly be a problem. If you want to attract malaysians to buy, the 1.8 model has to be priced around 95 – 98 k WITH ALL the premium trims.

Adrian Tan ah Adrian Tan, i’ve been driving my hyundai for the past 8 years, u think i care of the resale value? I care more of whether it is still running, which i dun see a problem with that. Resale value is not a problem unless you are constantly changing your ride, which i bet u r. Just tell me what r the prices of the cars you highlighted. Want to compare meh. To sum it up, no car is worth any price (+tax) in Malaysia. Just go with what u can afford and enjoy your ride.

Any sales office near to kota kemuning? What is the estimated price for 1.8 premium? Can we have 1.6 with sunroof?
The nearest showroom would be in Glenmarie I believe. The est price would be around 115k for the premium and finally the sunroof is kept only for the premium. Thanks Vincent.
